This wine is dedicated to the history of this land and to
the hard-working farmers who have cared for it, making it the unique place it is today. Sigar, a farmer nicknamed for his love of smoking, placed his hopes in the sky as he tended to the harvest of vines planted in 1963. The result of a mass selection, these vines still produce soft, elegant grapes today, with a botanical and fruity soul.

The hand- picked grapes, placed in small crates, were destemmed and left to undergo maceration on the skins for a few hours. The wine was racked into 7-hectolitre terracotta jars towards the end of alcoholic fermentation, to permit proper temperature control. Malolactic fermentation took place over three weeks. Keeping the wine on the yeasts contributed to its creamy texture, and ageing in terracotta enhanced its minerally qualities.
Gold suffused with green hues. The nose opens on saffron and slate, with candied citron, dried apricot and lemon zest, thyme slowly emerging before giving way to pineapple, wild mint and almond paste. On the palate, pleasantly bracing and fresh, with dense and intense aromas yielding to a mineral salinity and a seductive balsamic finish.
